After writing the sticky-pinned post in this forum section, I did a search and found at least one lawsuit over deprivation of HCQ, and decided to create a separate forum category for the subject of legal actions against those that have and continue to obstruct U.S. citizens access to this life saving drug:

"WRONGFUL DEATH LAWSUITS AGAINST SISOLAK FOR DENYING Hydroxychloroquine

July 4, 2020

Rob Lauer Political Reporter

Nevada Lawyer Joe Gilbert announced plans to pursue wrongful death lawsuits against Gov. Sisolak and the Pharmacy board members who unlawfully denied Doctors, nurses and patients the potentially lifesaving anti-malaria drug, hydroxychloroquine, which he says violated their constitution rights and causing their deaths.

Gilbert isn’t just any lawyer. His father, a doctor, and his mother both were stricken by corona virus in February. When they tried to purchase hydroxychloroquine, the Nevada Pharmacy Board deny them, so he took action. According to Gilbert, they did obtain the drug and he saw his mother make a miraculous turn around after taking it.

Now new reports just came out showing the drug does work and does save lives. But Sisolak and his liberal judge still are refusing to allow Doctors to prescribe the drug.

Reported in M Live:

A new study from the Henry Ford Health System may provide more legitimacy on the use of hydroxychloroquine to treat COVID-19.

Henry Ford published the peer-reviewed study on July 1, using a large-scale perspective analysis of patients from March 10 to May 2. The study looked over 2,500 hospitalized patients from the Henry Ford’s six hospitals, said Dr. Marcus Zervos, division head of infectious disease for Henry Ford Health System.

He said the health system wanted to investigate hydroxychloroquine because data showed that it had some clinical benefit and that it could reduce the inflammatory response in COVID-19 patients early in the pandemic.

“We thought that it would be important to us, or potentially important to use in our patients, (because) we didn’t have any other options that were proven,” Zervos said.

The study concluded that treatment with hydroxychloroquine significantly reduces the death rate of COVID-19 patients, Zervos said. Of those treated with hydroxychloroquine alone, 13% of them died, compared to the 26.4% who died and were were not treated with the drug. There was an overall 18.1% in-hospital mortality rate and patients were over the age of 18, with a median age of 64.

The study showed that hydroxychloroquine cut the death rate in half.

Back on April 11, 2020 360 News Las Vegas compared Utah’s death toll to Nevada’s. Both had a similar number of CV19 case. Nevada had 2,584 and Utah had a total number of 2,102. Both had population of about 3 million. But Utah fully embraced the use of hydroxychloroquine while Gov Sisolak banned the use of the drug even tho his Department of Prisons hoarded the drug. As of April 11, Utah had 17 deaths compared to Nevada’s 102.

According to Worldometer, as of today Utah has 181 deaths compared to Nevada now up to 528 dead. Sisolak’s ban has clearly resulted in a 300% higher death rate compared to Utah which embraced hydroxychloroquine back in March.

Sisolak only allowed the drug to be prescribed after a patient was on death’s door in a hospital. But all experts prior said the drug should be administered as early as possible. In fact the drug should be used by Doctors and nurses as a preventative measure.

Gilbert is currently suing Gov. Sisolak and the Pharmacy Board trying to force them to reverse Sisolak’s ban on hydroxychloroquine in Nevada so doctors can legally prescribe it without restrictions. Sisolak and the Nevada Pharmacy Board ignored the Mayo Clinic’s guidelines for using hydroxychloroquine. None of the Pharmacy Board staff are doctors. So far 2 nurses died of corona virus and another 167 people died state wide so far. States like Utah which have embraced hydroxychloroquine from the beginning have seen drastically lower fatality rates compared to Nevada.

If your loved one died here in Nevada from the corona virus, you may have case. For more information Call Mr. Gilbert at 775-210-1501
