I don't seem to be able to find an article that even hints that perhaps some of the cases of flu might have been falsely diagnosed as COVID-19 - only reporting that the difference may be from hand washing and mask wearing. Even NewsMax reported it that way.
So the reason COVID-19 was supposed to have spread so badly is because Americans were not being vigilant about mask wearing and social distancing, but the reason that flu is down 98% this year is because Americans were so vigilant about mask wearing and social distancing. Makes perfect sense.
Perhaps just another example of
COVID derangement syndrome in the media.
